Scuola Leonardo Da Vinci asked:

Coming to Siena means to discover its art and its history, but also to get in touch with its famous and worldwide celebrated cookery: ancient recipes still prepared nowadays with high quality products.

Culinary Traditions and Gastronomy course combines Italian language classes in the morning with special activities in the afternoon, in order to help students to appreciate this territory’s tastes, always accompanied by a brilliant and expert teacher.

Students improve their culinary knowledge thanks to special lessons about Tuscany’s gastronomical history and secrets; a professional approach is given thanks to the lesson about the importance of the DOP and IGP protected foods.

Much space is anyway left to direct experience: a wine and olive oil tasting with an expert sommelier, the opportunity to try the typical pecorino cheese, accompanied by a selection of honeys and marmalades; the visit of a “cinta senese” farm, with a taste of typical cold cuts.

Our students always enjoy very much the live cooking demonstration we offer them, in an upscale restaurant of Siena, with a professional chef. It is actually very interesting not only to eat good dishes, but also to learn how to prepare them…

Courses start on every Monday in order to give all participants the chance to better choose their ideal courses starting dates.

Take home a piece of Tuscany and of its delicious cookery!
